I’ve been working in SEO and digital marketing for over 14 years, mostly with B2B companies.
I’ve handled everything from technical SEO to content strategy to performance tracking, and I’ve worked closely with teams to take ideas from roadmap to execution.
A few years ago, I started noticing a shift.
Pages that ranked well weren’t always the ones being referenced in answers. Content that drove traffic wasn’t always shaping decisions.
That’s when I stopped looking at SEO purely in terms of rankings—and started looking at it in terms of influence.
